How Lamina works

Five tabs, left to right, in the order you use them. Everything re-slices as you change it.

The workflow

  1. Model — upload your own (STL, OBJ, 3MF, PLY, OFF, GLB, STEP) or pick an example, then set how big you want the finished piece: type one of the size boxes and the other two follow the model's proportions. turn stands it the right way up.
  2. Technique — how the model is taken apart: stacked layers, interlocked slices, a radial fan, ribs along a curve, folded panels. Each has its own settings underneath.
  3. Sheet & fit — what you cut and on what: material and its density, thickness, sheet size (your machine's bed), and the cut compensation. PLA or PETG print the parts instead, nested on your printer's bed. Not on the list? Type any thickness or sheet size, or a material's density, and press + to keep it.
  4. Checks — whether it holds together. Every error offers one-click fixes; press one and it re-slices.
  5. Export — the cut files (SVG, DXF, PDF, EPS), a 3D-printable prototype, a fit test, the assembly key.
